Founded in 1975 and based in Philadelphia, Friends of Farmworkers, Inc. (FOF) is a nationally respected 501(c) (3) statewide Pennsylvania non-profit legal services organization.  FOF’s mission is to improve the living and working conditions of indigent or distressed farmworkers, mushroom workers, food-processing workers, landscaping workers and workers from immigrant and migrant communities through legal representation, education and advocacy on issues related to employment. 

FOF serves approximately 500 individual clients annually statewide, mostly in the Eastern half of Pennsylvania.  In addition, the organization engages in significant impact litigation and advocacy of national significance. FOF’s areas of expertise are broad.  Advocacy and representation principally focuses on claims arising out of the employment of eligible low wage workers, but has included significant litigation and advocacy in relationship to housing provided to groups of workers by employers and others.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the chief executive and administrative officer of the organization.  The new Executive Director will be charged with managing the staff, developing relationships with the various stakeholders, cultivating connections to current and future donors, and serving as the face of Friends of Farmworkers.   For a complete job description and consideration, interested candidates may send letter of interest and resume to Andrew.wheeler@divsearch.com.
